Small, simple, and always ready. The Standard Issue is our most compact binocular—designed for everyday exploring and first looks into the natural world. Fully multi-coated lenses and premium BaK4 prisms deliver bright, sharp views in a small package that’s easy to bring along, whether you’re spotting birds from the trailhead, checking the swell, or scanning the horizon on a road trip. Built with a rugged, no-slip grip and waterproof, fogproof construction, the Standard Issue is made to live in your pack and come out often. It’s an approachable, go-anywhere optic for new birders and outdoor roamers who want quality glass without the bulk—or the fuss.

CORE FEATURES:

  • Fully multi-coated lenses deliver a bright, clear view with less glare and added durability—so what you’re looking at stays sharp, even after miles of use.
  • Premium BaK4 highest quality roof prism made from high-quality optical glass to produce truer color and better clarity, especially in low light when details matter most.
  • Rugged, impact-absorbing housing feels solid and natural in hand, with added grip to protect your binoculars when they inevitably take a hit along the way.
  • Super Compact & Lightweight body at only 336 grams (0.74 lbs) and 4.53 x 4.25 inches (or about two decks of playing cards) designed to fit easily in a bag or backpocket for easy access on the go.
  • Waterproof (IPX7) means they’re built to handle storms, splashes, and full submersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes—because weather rarely asks permission.
  • Fogproof construction with nitrogen-filled chambers prevents internal fogging as temperatures and conditions change.
  • Twist-up eyecups adjust easily for a comfortable fit, whether you’re wearing glasses or not.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

  • Binocular
  • Bag
  • Lens cloth
  • Webbing strap

8X OR 10X: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

The number tells you the magnification: 8x makes objects appear eight times closer, while 10x makes them appear ten times closer.

  • 8x for tracking motion: A wider view makes it easier to follow moving birds or wildlife and hold the image steady.
  • 10x for stationary details: Greater magnification gives a closer look at distant details, with a narrower view and more noticeable hand movement.

HOW IT COMPARES TO OTHER MODELS:

Standard Issue 25mm vs. Field Issue 32mm

The Standard Issue is our most compact and lightweight binoculars available. All of our binoculars have a Rugged Impact Absorbing Housing designed to feel great in-hand while providing protection and are waterproof (IPX7) and fogproof (nitrogen purged)

  • The Standard Issue has a 25mm objective lens while the Field Issue has 32mm resulting in better low-light performance and providing a more immersive experience with a wider field of view.
  • The Standard Issue is smaller and lighter, only 11.85 oz compared to the 16.7 oz Field Issue
  • Both have BaK4 Prisms but the Field Issue does have slightly more advanced lens coating resulting in better a clearer image and better light transmission (we call it HiFi Fully Multi Coated Lenses)
  • The Field Issue features an Oversized Focus Wheel for ultra smooth and precise focusing

Bottom line: We highly recommend the Standard Issue for beginners or those who highly value the compact size and lightweight form. The Field Issue should be considered for those looking for clearer images and a larger Field of View.

Standard Issue 25mm vs. Pro Issue 42mm

The Standard Issue is our most compact binoculars available. All of our binoculars have a Rugged Impact Absorbing Housing designed to feel great in-hand while providing protection and are waterproof (IPX7) and fogproof (nitrogen purged)

  • The Pro Issue has a Ultra Wide Field of View: 429 ft field of view (8x @1000yds) compared to the Standard Issue’s 357 ft @ (8x @1000yds)
  • The Standard Issue is much smaller and lighter, only 11.85 oz compared to the 24 oz Pro Issue
  • Both have Bak4 Prisms however Pro Issue utilizes higher-end lens coatings (Fully Coated vs Broadband Fully Multi Coated) prism coatings, and more advanced lens groups resulting in a brighter, crisper image.

Bottom line: We highly recommend the Standard Issue for beginners or those who highly value the compact size and lightweight form. Those who want the clearest image, widest Field of View, and best low-light performance should go with the Pro Issue.
