Haand began in 2012 with two high school pals, Mark Warren and Chris Pence, and a shared ambition to make beautiful, useful porcelain ceramics. Their early days unfolded in a rundown North Carolina farmhouse with no drinkable water and unreliable electricity, building the business one piece — and one craft fair — at a time. Today, the company handcrafts porcelain in Burlington, North Carolina, pairing organic shapes and expressive glazes with the durability that has earned its pieces a place in more than 175 restaurants worldwide.
